Hi y'all, i'm zac.

I buy framed artwork from thrift stores and paint elements into them. My approach has always been intentionally subtle, as if it's something that could have been included in the original, or easily looked over.

This website is mostly dedicated to showcasing my artwork. I've sold a few originals and will continue making high-quality prints available on a per-request basis.

The Artwork

Duck Hunt was the first project, April-ish of '20 during the COVID lock-down era. It had spent a year hanging on my wall before the idea randomly came one day as I walked past it. I immediately started working on it and didn't stop until I felt it was was complete.

After that, I started specifically seeking out artwork with potential. Perusing the framed artwork sections of thrift stores and antique malls, ideas occasionally strike instantly. For others, they arrive after spending some time on the walls of my home.

The Designs

I've never liked LaCriox. And I've called it LaCrotch for as long as I remember.

Matt helped me put together the design together because I didn't have the necessary Photoshop chops for the image in my head. Thanks again, Matt. Soon I discovered a world of editing graphics as inefficiently as possible by using PowerPoint. The crudeness of it was something I adored and insisted sticking with; a hill I'd gladly die on before learning Photoshop.

The Shirts

I made the first LaCrotch shirt for myself. 1/1. Ordering a custom shirt was unfamiliar and I had no idea it was that easy to make a shirt exactly how I wanted. The quality of my shirts will remain because I'd only sell what I'd wear myself.

Sporting it a few times in the office and wearing it IRL led to a couple hundred sales. They were well received and regarded for their quality, so I decided to continue making them on limited runs
